AMD Event Lanyard Proposal

A corporate event lanyard can be more than a functional badge holder.

For this AMD event lanyard proposal, we explored a merchandise concept using a red and gold-inspired corporate colour direction, 550 quality paracord, branded hardware and personalised event credentials.

The brief was to create something that looked professional while remaining practical and achievable within the project's budget and production requirements.

Two different approaches were developed.

Proposal 01 — Custom Event Lanyard

The first concept focused on a clean, handmade paracord lanyard featuring:

• 550 quality paracord
• Corporate colour combination
• 19mm adjustable stopper with logo
• Custom metal end caps
• Custom event badge holder
• Branded hardware
• On-site customisation concept

Proposal 02 — Retractable Event Lanyard

The second concept added a retractable badge reel for additional functionality.

It was designed with:

• 550 quality paracord
• Adjustable branded stopper
• Premium metal end caps
• Retractable badge reel
• Custom event branding
• On-site name personalisation

The retractable option creates another opportunity for an event to become more interactive — allowing names or other details to be personalised as part of the event experience.

Designed Around the Brief

Our approach to corporate merchandise starts with the brief.

What is the event theme?
What colours represent the brand?
How many pieces are needed?
What is the budget?
What needs to be personalised?
How quickly does it need to be produced?

From there, we explore the product, materials, colours and hardware that make sense for the project.

This allows us to create custom corporate merchandise that is designed around the actual event, rather than simply selecting an off-the-shelf product.

A Proposal We Still Love

We didn't get the job for this project.

But we are still proud of these samples.

Not every proposal becomes a production order. Some become part of the creative process — helping us explore new combinations of materials, branding, personalisation and event merchandise ideas.
