For the Malaysia Woman & Girl Forum annual event, JINI Studio created a custom event lanyard designed around the event's visual identity — combining colour, craftsmanship and functionality into a piece that guests could continue using long after the event ended.

For this annual event, that was exactly what we wanted to create.

Instead of producing a standard printed conference lanyard, we designed a handcrafted multipurpose lanyard in durable 550 paracord, carefully developed around the event's colours and visual identity.

The result was an event accessory that felt more like a thoughtfully designed gift than a disposable event item.

A Design Guests Wanted to Take Home

The previous edition had received such an overwhelming response that the client specifically requested the exact same design again for the following event.

That was one of the strongest validations we could receive.

Rather than simply repeating the previous production, we kept the design language that guests already loved while re-curating the colour combination to match the current event theme.

We also added a small engraved pendant featuring the event/client logo, giving the lanyard another layer of personalisation.

One of our favourite moments was seeing the completed lanyards being worn throughout the venue.

A full hall of guests, all wearing the same carefully designed piece, created a subtle but powerful visual effect.

The lanyard became part of the event identity.

And because the design was distinctive, it did not feel like generic corporate merchandise.

JINI Studio comes from the experience of KD Goods, a Malaysian handmade paracord brand established during the MCO period in 2021.

What started with handmade paracord mask lanyards eventually grew into a wider range of handcrafted accessories, corporate merchandise, event workshops and custom event products.

The lanyard was made using quality 550 paracord, selected for its strength, flexibility and durability.

For this project, the colours were carefully selected to complement the event's branding rather than simply matching a generic colour chart.
